Independent, client-first advice — built around you.

As an independent firm, we work for you — not a single insurer. With over 25 years of experience, we help you make confident decisions about medical aid, life and income protection, retirement, investments, and business assurance. When challenges arise — from rejected claims to hospital escalations — we stand by you every step of the way to make sure you’re treated fairly. We serve clients nationally across South Africa.

What independence means for you

Jumah Brokers is an independent FSP. In past corporate roles we could only offer the products of one company. Now we compare options across approved product providers and recommend what’s in your best interest — transparently, in plain language, and with full disclosure of costs.

  • Access to a range of product providers across approved categories
  • Unbiased comparisons and advice aligned to your goals and risk
  • Ongoing service: claims support, annual reviews, and policy optimisation

Out of scope: We do not place commercial short-term insurance (business vehicles, stock, buildings, liability). Our short-term approval is Personal Lines only.

How we work — the 6-step advice process

1. Discovery

Design options with costs, pros/cons, and a clear path to your objectives.

4. Recommend

Independent recommendations from approved providers, documented in writing.

5. Implement

Handle paperwork, underwriting, fund switches, plan changes and setup.

6. Review & Support

Annual reviews, claims assistance and on-call guidance when life changes.

Plain-English product explanations

Key-person cover

Life or disability cover on a crucial employee/owner. Pays the business so it can recruit, stabilise cashflow or reduce debt if that person cannot work or passes away.

Buy-and-Sell cover

Life cover on co-owners linked to a buy-sell agreement. Ensures the surviving owner can purchase the deceased’s shares, giving the family fair value and the business continuity.

Contingent Liability

Life cover to settle a business loan if an owner dies, preventing personal sureties being called and protecting the estate and company.

Income Protection

A monthly benefit if illness or injury stops you working, protecting lifestyle and financial commitments while you recover.

Severe Illness (Dread Disease)

Lump sum on diagnosis of major conditions (e.g., cancer, heart attack). Helps fund treatment gaps, changes at home or debt reduction.

Unit Trusts & RAs

Flexible collective investment schemes and retirement annuities that grow tax-efficiently when structured correctly for your goals and horizon.
